J. Michael Vines, PE, SE, SECB

Mr. Vines is a graduate of Auburn University, School of Engineering, receiving his Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 1991. Mr. Vines is a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Tennessee and Georgia, a Registered Structural Engineer in the State of Illinois and has been certified in the practice of Structural Engineering by the Structural Engineering Certification Board (SECB).

Mr. Vines has over 19 years of experience in structural engineering design of steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures. He has been providing residential consulting and design services for more than 17 years. He is a licensed general contractor in the State of Tennessee and is a professional member of the International Code Council.

Barton E. Wheeler, PE

Mr. Wheeler joined our firm in February 2010. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, College of Engineering, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering in 1987. He later received a Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering with an emphasis in Civil/Structural studies. Mr. Wheeler is a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Tennessee, Texas, Nebraska, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri and Ohio. Mr. Wheeler is a Professional Structural Engineer in the State of Utah.

Mr. Wheeler has over 22 years of experience in structural engineering design of steel, light gauge steel and wood structures. He has worked in truss manufacturing, engineered wood manufacturing and metal building industry.

Mark Garman, PG

Mr. Garman is a graduate of the Tennessee Technological University, School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Earth Sciences, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Geology in 1989. Mr. Garman is a registered Professional Geologist in the State of Tennessee.

Mr. Garman has 21 years of experience performing geotechnical and geologic assessments, environmental site assessments, monitoring and sampling hazardous material sites and monitoring site and subgrade preparation and construction of foundation systems. He has been involved in residential and commercial consulting services for 10 years.

Leigh T. Vines

Mrs. Vines is a graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery, School of Liberal Arts, receiving her Bachelor of Mass Communications in 1992. She is our office manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business.

Julie Peirce

Ms. Peirce is our Administrative Assistant and is responsible for receiving phone calls, scheduling appointments for the technical staff and transmitting completed projects to clients. She also assists with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and some general Book Keeping.

Gary Ervin

Mr. Ervin is one of our Field Technicians. He has over 7 years of experience performing footing excavation observations to gather soil, footing excavation and steel reinforcement data to verify compliance with local building code requirements. Mr. Ervin is an International Code Counsel (ICC) certified building inspector.

Ryan Ervin
